Our tiles come in a variety of materials, including minerals and woods, and can come in almost any colour, to create a perfect ambience for your work place. Fluorescent light fixtures, air supply diffusers, return air grilles, and incandescent lights, various electrical devices, and sprinkler heads can then installed into the grid, to your satisfaction. The role of the lighting in any offices or building can be hugely important and is often under estimated. Building Services Limited offers a full range of electrical systems and bespoke lighting. Careful selection of, and deployment of lighting and electrical components, has vast beneficial effects on visual communication and staff performance levels. Lighting fixtures and fittings come in a wide variety of styles for various functions. Some are simply economic and functional, whilst others embody style and cutting edge design. General indoor lighting is intended for general illumination of an area, such as basic lamps within the floor or on the ceiling. Accent lighting can be used to highlight pictures, plants, or other elements of interior design, and is mainly decorative. Examples of different types of lighting: Down-lighting is most common, with fixtures on or recessed in the ceiling casting light downward. This tends to be the most used method used in offices and commercial interiors. Up-lighting is less common and is often used to bounce indirect light off of the ceiling and back down. It is commonly used in lighting applications that require minimal glare and uniform general luminance levels. Uplighting (indirect) uses a diffuse surface to reflect light in a space and can minimize disabling glare on computer displays and other dark glossy surfaces. It gives a more uniform presentation of the light output in operation. Front-lighting is also common, but tends to make the subject look flat as its casts almost no visible shadows. Lighting from the side is the least common, as it tends to produce glare near eye level. Back-lighting either around or through an object is mainly for accent.
